Dear esteemed members, domestic and international participants, and speakers,
Greetings,
On behalf of the Korean Cleft Palate-Craniofacial Association, I am delighted to extend a warm welcome to all participants attending our 31st Annual Meeting. For more than three decades, our association has led the craniofacial field in Korea. Our conference has gained international recognition for its comprehensive coverage, which notably includes a Live Surgery Session.
This year, we are excited to introduce a groundbreaking new feature at our conference: the Live Cadaver Surgery Session. We plan to host an in-depth conference that covers a wide range of procedures, including cosmetic operations like blepharoplasty and rhytidectomy, as well as orthognathic operations such as double jaw surgery, square jaw reduction, and zygoma reduction. The session will also address surgical procedures for facial trauma and headache treatments. By utilizing cadavers, we can delve into the intricate details of these procedures in a way that traditional live surgery cannot, offering an unparalleled learning experience for all attendees. Our goal is to provide extensive practical information through this conference.
In addition to the Live Cadaver Surgery, we are also offering a Master Course. This course provides participants with a unique opportunity to learn directly from masters who have dedicated their careers to the craniofacial field. We are honored to welcome world-renowned experts who will share their knowledge and insights with us.
As a testament to our ongoing commitment to international collaboration, we have formally invited the president and academic committee members of the European Association for Cranio Maxillo Facial Surgery (EACMFS). Our association has actively participated and delivered lectures at their conferences for over 20 years as a Guest Society.
We understand that these are challenging times, but we firmly believe in the importance of coming together as a community to share our knowledge, discuss new ideas, and work towards improving the lives of our patients. We eagerly anticipate welcoming those of you dedicated to the treatment and research of craniofacial patients at our 31st Annual Meeting.
Thank you for your commitment to this field, and we look forward to a productive and inspiring conference.

Plastic surgery in Korea has held a leading position internationally for over 30 years, as exemplified by the term "the Korean wave of plastic surgery." Notably, maxillofacial surgery has been a significant contributor to this prominence.
The Korean Academic Association for Maxillo-Facial Surgery (KAAMFS) originated as a study group in the early 2000s and evolved into a research group by 2006. Minimally invasive procedures have gained widespread acceptance among the public, leading to a recent decline in maxillo-facial surgery. Nevertheless, it is clear that a significant number of patients still require maxillo-facial surgery. The contemporary scope of maxillo-facial surgery has expanded considerably, now covering not only the facial bones but also the surrounding soft tissues.
This year, the KAAMFS established an international academic platform known as the K Bone Forum, set to debut at PRS KOREA 2024. The forum will feature discussions on various concepts and techniques related to maxillofacial surgery. Renowned maxillofacial surgeons Stephen Baker and James Bradley from the USA, along with Clement Lin from Chang Gung Memorial Hospital in Taiwan, will participate.
We look forward to your interest and involvement in this field, which will further the international development of maxillofacial surgery.
Jong-Woo Choi, President
Korean Academic Association for Maxillo-Facial Surgery
Dear members of the Asian Forum for Fat and Stem Cell (AFS),
I welcome members from Korea and other Asian countries who are attending the 6th AFS conference held in collaboration with the Korean Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons.
AFS started in 2017, but since it is held every two years, this is the first conference held after COVID19. Over the past four years, Korean members have conducted virtual conferences, and academic developments in fat grafting and stem cells have continued. This conference will be an opportunity to meet each other and exchange opinions on the academic achievements and latest trends.
I would like to express our special thanks to the invited speakers this year, Lukas Prantl from Germany, Kotaro Yoshimura, Kamol Wattanakrai, Hiroshi Mizuno, Yur-Ren Kuo, and Kim-Siea Lee from Asia.
I hope that this conference will serve as a cornerstone for establishing Plastic Regenerative Surgery as an academic discipline in Korean plastic surgery. Based on this, we hope to be able to interact with international academic societies such as ISPRES and develop the ability to host academic societies.
